Toxic Home . Withdrawn into herself for years, this young girl endured the yelling, arguments, and violence between her parents. Slowly, she found fleeting escapes—first through music, then through pole dancing. One night, during yet another fight, she slams her bedroom door, puts on her headphones, and imagines herself alone in a pole class. The music begins, and she dances—releasing her emotions, her pain, everything she had buried deep inside. Through pole dancing, her fears fade away. She then tears up the drawing tied to that heavy memory, even though the image of her broken family remains etched in her mind. Dancing gives her strength and hope that one day, this nightmare will finally end.
